SeaMossIsLife respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy notice is for visitors to our website. It sets out how we use personal data that we hold about you and gives information on how to exercise your legal rights. 

We currently collect and process the following information:

• Personal identifiers, contacts, and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
• Email address
• Full name 
• Billing and postal address
• Phone number

How we get the information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reasons:

• Email address is used to confirm your order and to send up-to-date information. We also share to DHL and the courier companies we use who use your email address to give you confirmation of your delivery order.
• Full name is needed for communication between us and yourself.
• The address is used for postal (DHL) and delivery orders (Ourselves and Courier companies).
• Phone number is only used in delivery situations if needed. For example, if we can't locate your property or nobody is home when we have arrived.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

• We have a contractual obligation.
• We have a legal obligation.

What we do with the information we have

We use the information that you have given us in order to fulfill your order. All information is held on a computer only accessible to one person.  Once your order is processed and completed, all forms of paperwork associated to your order are binned or filed. Any emails sent and received are deleted within 2 weeks. Any texts sent to customer during delivery are deleted immediately.

We will not share your data with anybody

How we store your information 

Your information is securely stored. 

We keep personal information for at least two years. If we notice you haven’t purchased anything in the last year. We will then dispose of your information by deleting all data on software used for processing.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to be forgotten - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information. 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information. 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Please note that these rights are not absolute and certain exemptions apply.
